Delaware County Thrift Stores Bring Bargains and Support Worthy Causes

Several Delaware County thrift stores offer bargains for shoppers and funds for good causes.

From the savvy shopper to the most casual bargain-hunter, Delaware County thrift stores can be a way of life or a passionate hobby.

Here in Delaware County and nearby, there are plenty of shops to check out, writes Ben Silver for Main Line Today.

Nana’s Attic Thrift Store in Broomall has been around since 2002, generating funds for the Domestic Abuse Project.

This shop has a variety of items, from paintings to fishing rods as well as used electronics and shoes, in addition to clothing.

Saint Alban’s Thrift Shop in Newtown Square is a church-based thrift shop staffed by volunteers. Fall hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Any proceeds go back into the community.

Bryn Mawr Hospital Thrift Shop in Bryn Mawr offers clothing, furniture, rugs, books and jewelry.

Everything purchased benefits Bryn Mawr Hospital

The shop is open Monday to Saturday, 9:30 AM to 5 PM. 

The Junior League Thrift Shop in Ardmore is a four-time winner of Main Line Today’s best thrift shop award.

The store has clothing, handbags, shoes, jewelry, books and toys. It also runs community initiatives like the Empowering You Health Fair, Kids in the Kitchen, and Food to Families.
