At the Table is not only growing its size but adding a Pacific Ocean decor and removing barriers between the restaurant, diners and the community.

More space is only part of the pleasant changes coming to At The Table in Wayne.

The restaurant officially opens Sept. 26 at 118 W. Lancaster Ave., writes Ben Silver for Main Line Today.

The new location is double the size. It will seat 100 guests, 75 inside (featuring a four-person oyster bar, banquet table, round table, and sectioned tables), with another 25 on the garden patio.

Chefs Alex Hardy and Tara Buzan-Hardy will work in a kitchen quadruple the size, making it easier to offer catering.

A chef’s window gives diners a behind-the-scenes view of the kitchen.

It’s part of a desire to remove barriers between diners, the restaurant, and the neighborhood.

“Our new kitchen has been designed to allow us to show our stuff: what we’ve learned, what we know, and what we’ve attempted in the past but could not execute due to our old location’s limitations. It’s a little daunting but extremely exciting. We can’t wait,” said Chef Hardy.

The chefs imagined the new space after touring upscale Michelin-reviewed coastal restaurants.

The theme is the Pacific Ocean, and KSM Architects bring a modern, upscale, oceanic vibe to the place.
