Due to a huge drop in the use of the once mega-popular name, seventeen-year-old Linda Jack of Philadelphia is one of the rare young members of the L.I.N.D.A. Club, writes Jon Kamp for The Wall Street Journal.

However, for the Philadelphia teen, the rarity of her name is an asset.

“I’ve never met someone with my name that was under the age of 30,” she said.

Linda was named after her grandmother, Linda DiSalvo. Her grandmother, who was so excited that her granddaughter would have her name, signed both herself and baby Linda up for the L.I.N.D.A. Club when the teen was just three days old.

The newest member was so small that when the elder Linda had to list her granddaughter’s favorite activity on the admission form, she wrote “breastfeeding.”

The granddaughter and grandmother have attended several of the Linda club’s conventions together, and the younger family member is still the youngest Linda at the club to this day.
