Christine Palladino, an active Arc of Chester County participant, has been chosen to represent the state of Pennsylvania at the National Miss Amazing 2023 Experience in ChicagoIllinois by The Miss Amazing Organization.

Palladino, along with 150 other girls and women, will be competing in this national event.

She has participated in this pageant for several years and was “PA Miss Amazing Mentor 2023” in Emmaus, Pennsylvania this past April.

Miss Amazing is a national self-esteem movement for girls and women with disabilities. The organization provides opportunities for girls and women with disabilities to provide their goals, and step outside of their comfort zones, while building networks of support.

By investing in girls with disabilities, Miss Amazing believes it nurtures a strong community of leaders who push back against stereotypes and advocate for change, thereby creating even greater opportunities for the next generation.

“I have had the pleasure of working with both Christine and her mom, Nancy, since I started last March,” stated Courtney Cambria who works with Palladino as part of The Arc of Chester County’s Agency with Choice Program. “I am her biggest cheerleader. I have followed her journey in Miss Amazing and I am so proud of how far she has come. I wish her nothing but the best and I can’t wait to hear about the next steps,” said Cambria.

For three days in late July, Palladino will sing and dance and show off her talents while wearing the most gorgeous gowns.

When asked about how participating in Miss Amazing makes her feel, she said, “I am wonderful, and I am an awesome dancer too!”

Her number one supporter is her mom, Nancy, who shares, “I feel that the pageant gives Christine such confidence and self-esteem and it is an overall fun thing for her to do.”

The mission of The Arc of Chester County is to advocate, educate, and provide services to empower individuals with disabilities and their families to enhance the quality of their lives.
