It’s hard to believe that it’s just a father and son running a Springfield storefront known simply as Craft Beer Store, writes Ben Silver for Main Line Today.

After all, the place has over 40 beers on tap.

It sells more imports than most places in Pennsylvania, yet it’s easy to miss along Baltimore Pike.

The mission of Matthew Titus Jr. and Sr. is to make sure any craft beer fan can find what they want in their shop, or by asking them.

Titus Sr., with decades of food and drink industry experience, works for Bar Doctors, buying and selling mismanaged bars in the Philadelphia region.

“That’s my passion,” Titus Sr. said. “I come into your bar and I’ll price it out – real estate, liquor license – I’ll give it value, then I’ll sell it.”

Titus Jr.’s passion, meanwhile, was craft beer. When his father acquired Craft Beer Store in 2021, Titus Jr. convinced him not to sell, but to renovate and rebrand.

“I learned everything about craft beer. My son eats and sleeps, researches, and has taught me,” Titus Sr. said.

Craft Beer Store now has more taps, food, a downstairs gaming area, and a backyard beer garden.
