Bow Wow Weddings, a service that coordinates all your doggy wedding day needs, made it possible for a Bala Cynwyd couple’s mini dachshund to be a part of their big day, writes Rita Giordano for The Philadelphia Inquirer. 

Barry and Jessica Garozzo really wanted Porterhouse to be in their wedding photos, which were taken on the plaza outside Philadelphia City Hall. But they would not have been able to do it on their own. 

“A lot of people want their dogs involved, but I don’t think they realize, as a bride and groom, how busy you’re going to be and how much work your day is,” said Barry. 

With the help of Bow Wow Weddings, however, the day was a great success. The pictures looked amazing, and the couple did not have to focus on taking care of their dog. 

The company is the brainchild of Myles Ragin and Don Valentine. They offer several packages, most of which include overnight pet sitting along with the photos, ceremony, and reception assistance. They even do destination weddings. Packages run from $599 to $1,299.
