Pottstown Tree House Makes Statewide List of Unique Accommodations
The Philly Glamping Tree House — a one-of-a-kind overnight experience in Pottstown — has been named one of only eight unforgettable getaways in Pennsylvania. Ashley Adams included it in her wrap-up of unique accommodations across the commonwealth in The Keystone.
The arboreal retreat in western Montgomery County is listed with other distinct properties that include:
- A York home designed to look like a shoe
- Buffalo Bill’s Perryopolis home (near Pittsburgh) from the film The Silence of the Lambs
- Majestic Hilltop Castle in Beach Lake, northeast of Scranton
All 10 recommended accommodations are bookable through Vrbo or Airbnb.
The Philly Glamping Tree House is a private experience on a 100-acre family farm. The host family’s dwelling is nearby, but the treehouse is surrounded by woodlands that give it privacy.
It features onsite parking, a canvas cover, electrical hookups, a wooden deck, a hammock, a king bed, two single beds, a hot tub, and a slide.
It’s got everything but an inside bathroom, but the owners provide a Porta Potty.
