Delco Native in Arizona has a Special Video for Eagles Fans

Philadelphia Eagles fans can take a comical video tour of Phoenix’s light poles before they head out to the Super Bowl next week, writes Christie Ileto for 6abc.

The video was created by journalism student Grace Del Pizzo, a Merion Mercy Academy graduate and an Arizona State University sophomore who hails from Delaware County.

“Anytime we stumbled upon a different kind of light pole that had a base that we could climb on, I was like, ‘Oh this is great’… and It just snowballed from there,” she said.

Del Pizzo emphasizes the video is for comical purposes only and that she’s not encouraging any illegal activity, including pole climbing.

“I didn’t think it was going to gather this type of attention. I thought it would be a cool thing for people who are coming in for the Super Bowl and say ‘oh this is funny, it’s a little funny video,’” she said.

The video also highlights the best places to celebrate in Phoenix and the places to avoid.

The City of Phoenix in a statement said it has no plans to grease the poles, a common pre-celebration practice here in Philadelphia, and that it’s never needed to grease the poles before.
