PJ Whelihan’s officially opened Nov. 28 in the newly-renovated Lawrence Park Shopping Center in Broomall following a ribbon cutting.
This is the 21st PJ Whelihan’s Pub restaurant and sports bar for the PJW Restaurant Group.
“Broomall is a great community and one we’ve had our eye on for quite some time, so it’s exciting to finally be planting our roots here. We’ve got a great team in place that is eager to show this town how PJs truly ‘does it better’”, says Jim Fris, CEO of the PJW Restaurant Group.
P.J. Whelihan’s caters to a variety of customers, from families to sports fans and those just looking for a happy hour or some weekend entertainment.
The restaurant will be open seven days a week for dine-in, takeout, and delivery.
Featured menu items include PJs wings with one of 11 signature sauces, burgers (customized for vegans and vegetarians), and for dessert, a salted caramel crunch cookie.
The main bar houses 36 taps and features local beers, including the group’s signature PJW Copper Lager brewed by Victory Brewing Company.
The 8,000-square-foot space was designed by Elmer Design. It features vaulted ceilings, custom woodwork, comfortable seating, and a state-of-the-art entertainment package including 50 TVs.
An outdoor patio area is available in nicer weather.
For the holidays, P.J. Whelihan’s is featuring several cocktails, including the Mistletoe Mule and the Blue Christmas.
The PJW Restaurant Group is headquartered in Westmont, NJ and was founded in 1983 by Bob and Donna Platzer. Besides P.J. Whelihan’s, the group operates the ChopHouse, Treno Pizza Bar, The Pour House, Central Taco and Tequilla, and ChopHouse Grille.
