There’s a somewhat secret hideaway at the Grace Winery in Glen Mills where you can enjoy a surprisingly affordable dinner in a charming historic home in the middle of the Brandywine Valley, reports Main Line Tonight.

The dining room at Grace Winery has an elegant dining room with limited seating for dinner served only on Friday and Saturday nights.

The prix fixe menu from executive chief Dan Wood, at $65 per person, is filled with locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients that change monthly.

Patrons can choose from two appetizers, three entrees, and two desserts.

And of course, there’s a fine selection of Grace’s wines.

On a recent visit, dinner began with house-made focaccia with olive oil and peppers.

November’s menu gave a choice of salad or fritto misto, a standout venison loin with huckleberries, parsnip puree and kabocha squash, striped bass with braised vegetables and kimchi, and a vegetarian chicken-fried-hen of-the-woods mushroom glossed with a sunchoke sauce, porcini and spigiarello kale.

Desserts were seasonal. A recent visit offered a pumpkin semifreddo and apple cobbler.

A different wine was paired with each dish.

The intimate dining room is both romantic and appropriate for friends.
