Rosati’s in Clifton Heights is releasing a limited-edition water ice flavor, ‘I Stand with Ukraine,’ to raise money for a Ukrainian church in Swarthmore, writes Noah Zucker for Philly Voice.

The flavor, released Sunday, combines lemonade and blue raspberry water ice, resembling the Ukrainian flag.  A portion of its sales will go to Holy Myrrh-Bearers Ukrainian Catholic Church in Swarthmore, which has been collecting money and supplies for Ukrainian refugees since the beginning of the Russian invasion.

The flavor will be sold at 10 ShopRite stores in Philadelphia and the surrounding Pennsylvania suburbs, along with various ice cream shops and mobile-vending locations.

It will also be available today, 8:30 a.m., during a fundraiser at the church, located at 900 Fairview Road.

Rosati’s will give away free cups of “I Stand with Ukraine” to volunteers and those who donate at the fundraiser.

The church has been wiring any funds it raises “directly to the refugee centers in Ukraine and neighboring countries” using the money to “provide food, clothing, medical supplies, transportation, and housing for those displaced,” said church pastor Daniel Troynan in a Rosati’s press release.

Rosati’s celebrates its 110th anniversary today, which is also National Italian Ice Day.
