The following positions are available at the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology:

Director of Library

The Director of the Library is responsible for the administration and expansion of the College’s Library and its services to students, faculty, administrators, and staff.

They will:

  • Manage the Library budget;
  • Manage and maintain communication within the Library;
  • Meet with faculty to develop collaborative participation in Library services;
  • Develop unique ways to use the physical space of the library;
  • Supervise work-study students, co-op students, and volunteers;
  • Organize and produce student and faculty library usage reports;
  • Update and keep records for the library’s collections, holdings and reference transactions;
  • Maintain appropriate statistical records of services and other related information;
  • Participate in college events;
  • Identify potential grants, write grants;
  • Serve on Middle States Standards Committee and other college-wide committees;
  • Work with faculty to manage honor society activities;
  • Select new resources to meet user needs;
  • Maintain appropriate records of reference transactions;
  • Develop policies related to the circulation and use of all Library resources;
  • Administer the Library’s Interlibrary Loan Service;
  • Communicate information about the Library and its services to the P.I.T. community

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Knowledge of current and developing library technology;
  • Ability to create and present innovative multimedia programs to enhance library usage;
  • Ability to work well with a diverse community of users;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of five years progressively responsible library positions; academic library experience strongly preferred.

Assistant Director of Practical Nursing

The assistant director coordinates assigned functions and provides instruction to students and participates in the activities for the systematic evaluation of the program and revision of the curriculum and instruction and policies and procedures for program improvement.

They will:

  • Coordinate clinical, simulation, and lab experiences, student learning outcomes, and serve as mentor for clinical faculty;
  • Coordinate teaching/learning experiences in clinical, simulation, and lab for all students to meet program objectives;
  • Demonstrates mastery of the curriculum plan;
  • Responsible for maintaining clinical facility contracts, student clinical evaluations, daily and weekly attendance, and collection of clinical minutes for each facility;
  • Assists faculty to integrate simulate into curriculum;
  • Assists in formulating policies for the program;
  • Participates in student and faculty orientation;
  • Responsible for training new clinical adjuncts;
  • Assists in the selection and interviewing of nursing faculty;
  • Manages the status of clearances for students entering and participating in the program;
  •  Assists with upholding State Board of Nursing regulations;
  • Develops and supports relationships with cooperating agencies;
  • Attends continuing education activities;
  • Is an active member of a professional nursing organization(s).
  • Attends and participates in faculty meetings.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an NLNAC approved Nursing School;
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing required;
  • Master of Science in Nursing preferred or active pursuit and current enrollment in Masters Program in Nursing relevant to area of responsibility with approved education plan for completion of Master’s in Nursing within five years;
  • Current PA licensure as Registered Professional Nurse;
  • Current CPR Certification;
  • Must have at least 5 years of full-time direct patient care experience and current competence in medical/surgical, obstetrical, or pediatric nursing;
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a nursing program.

Accounts Receivable Administrator

This position includes the setup and maintenance of all accounts receivable items for the College including tuition and fees, collections, and third-party billings. This position will also provide exceptional customer service to students on a one-to-one basis.

They will:

  • Post daily cash receipts and process daily bank deposits;
  • Review weekly credit balances on student accounts and reconcile for accuracy;
  • Process student billing charges and adjustments;
  • Apply payments to students’ accounts;
  • Post Financial Aid batches to student ledger;
  • Review Student Payment Plan Report and TFC payment plans;
  • Monitor P.I.T. merchandise;
  • Apply and reconcile credit card payments;
  • Review and process weekly student stipends;
  • Process HEERF Write-Offs
  • Accounts Receivable Write-Offs;
  • Place students on hold when payment plan is delinquent;
  • Process VA paperwork along with Financial Aid;
  • Financial clearance for monthly Graduation lists;
  • Process PayPal entries into CampuVue;
  • Report any additional funding to TFC and payment plans adjusted;
  • Process Transfer fees and bill students;
  • Process Test Out fees and bill students;
  • Keep track of one-time payment plans with P.I.T;
  • Keep track of Contributions and send out Gift Letters.
  • Help with end-of-year audit for Business Office.

Required Skills / Abilities:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge or experience working within CampusVue a huge plus!

 Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or related field;
  • 2-3 years’ experience in a previous Accounts Receivable role;
  • Previous experience working within higher education is highly desirable.
