3 Delco Towns Got On a List for Worst Worker Commute in PA.

Three Delaware County towns made a list of 20 communities with the worst commute in Pennsylvania and their names may or may not surprise you, depending on your local driving experience.

The list comparing average commute times was put together by the staff at Slacker.com using U.S. Census Bureau data as of a 2019 5-year estimate.

Coming in at No. 4 was Lansdowne Borough. Average time spent commuting to work was 33 minutes.  The percentage of workers spending more than an hour commuting was 11.2%. The percentage of workers spending less than 30 minutes commuting was 38%.

Drexel Hill was No. 2 on the list.  Average time spent commuting to work was 34.4 minutes. The percentage of workers spending more than an hour commuting was 13%. The percentage of workers spending less than 30 minutes commuting was 38.6%.

Yeadon Borough topped the list at No. 1.  Average time spent commuting to work was 34.7 minutes. The percentage of workers spending more than an hour commuting was 17.7%. The percentage of workers spending less than 30 minutes commuting was 37.1%.

Pre-pandemic, the average commute in the U.S. was a hair over 27 minutes one way, according to U.S. Census Bureau data.
