CCRES, Downingtown, specializes in providing over 1,500 professional, dedicated staff members to meet the needs of children and adults challenged by autism, behavioral health issues, mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and physical disabilities. It works in collaboration with school districts, intermediate units, and the behavioral health system.

Direct Support Professional (DSP) — Downingtown

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is a direct service (face-to-face) provider in the adult day program supporting consumers in community settings using a person-centered planning approach to assist individuals in acquiring, maintaining, and improving self-help, domestic, socialization, and adaptive skills.

The position’s schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A flex arrangement is possible (with another DSP) with each covering two to three days to over the Monday–Friday workweek. The reporting site for this work is the Achieve program, 150 E. Pennsylvania Ave., Suite 430, Downingtown.

DSPs get 11 paid holidays per year.

Personal Care Assistant (PCA) — Coatesville

The Personal Care Assistant (PCA) is a field employee position, working on all student days during the school calendar year. The associated compensation is $21 per hour.

PCAs provide one-to-one assistance to children/adolescents with emotional and behavior disorders in the school setting based on medical needs. Prompt intervention is also a key skill, to address issues of behavior management, conflict resolution, and anger management.

Success in this role also hinges on peer interaction skills based on the IEP goals or behavioral treatment plan provided by school official or a Behavior Specialist Consultant.

PCAs are needed at two sites in Coatesville: The Child & Career Development Center, 1525 Lincoln Highway; and the CCIU Learning Center, 1635 Lincoln Highway.

Instructional Assistant (IA) Kennett Square

The Instructional Assistant position (IA) enhances the school program by supporting and working with students and school staff to perform all duties with accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism. The IA will coordinate with teachers to work with students on content instruction, recess/ lunch coverage, assist to prepare materials, and provides general clerical /other duties relating to the needs in the classroom/school.

This position requires two years of post-secondary education or an associates’ degree.
