The most expensive colleges in the Philadelphia region include three from Delaware County.

One Delaware County online MBA program has found its place among the 100 best in the country for 2022, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report, writes Kennedy Rose for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

Villanova University, whose campus is nestled neatly in Delaware County’s northeast corner, ranked at No. 16, which also placed it as the best program in the region out of seven that have made the list.

It fell seven spots from its No. 9 ranking last year.

To determine schools with the best online MBA programs, U.S. News and World Report focused on five main categories. These include engagement with courses and instructors, quality of experts and high-ranking academic officials involved with the program, instructor credentials, student services and technologies, and student excellence.

West Chester University in neighboring Chester County ranked in No. 56, while Montgomery County’s Saint Joseph’s University also made the list at No. 94.

Temple University, the Philadelphia area’s largest college by enrollment, just missed the cut for the top 100 programs, sitting at No. 105.

With seven online programs among the best 100, Greater Philadelphia is the metro area with the largest concentration of top-ranked online MBA programs.
