In a sea of good bars in the Philadelphia region, there are those that really stand out, and several of them are right here in Delaware County, according to a new list by Philadelphia Magazine.

Teresa’s Next Door is one of the best neighborhood bars in the region. Located at 126 North Wayne Avenue in Wayne, this Delco bar offers 28 taps with interesting brews, a curated wine list, and plenty of whiskey options.

As a bonus, the staff knows the difference between mixing with Schweppes and Fever-Tree, so it is no wonder that the bar was a 2018 James Beard semi-finalist in the Outstanding Bar Program. It also made the October 2017 philly.com list of Best Places to Drink in the Suburbs.

Meanwhile, Tony’s Tavern is another Delco bar that has found its place among the best dive bars and taverns in the region. This spot opens early and closes late like most of the bars in the surrounding area but really makes itself known thanks to its friendlier-than-most crowd and the one-person kitchen.

This creates some of the most delicious roast pork and other Italian sandwiches around and is located at 1002 Woodlawn Avenue in Collingdale.
