Say what you will about Delaware County’s love of meat-filled cheesesteaks, when it comes to vegetarian take-out, we’re actually flooded with possibilities.

Here are some of the best spots to check out, writes Grace Dickinson for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Boardwalk Vegan (Havertown)

Kris and Randy Sumey opened their all-vegan Shore-themed restaurant at 28 N. Manoa Road amidst the pandemic. They quickly grew a following.

It’s all here,  from cheesesteaks and pizza to funnel cake and fried Oreos.

The Cheezy Vegan (Woodlyn)

How about some melted Vegan cheese on plant-based favorites like cheesesteaks, chicken parmesan, san sausage and grits.

Raw Can Roll Cafe (Wayne)

Raw food dominates at this Main Line café. There’s juices and smoothies but also zucchini noodles with peanut sauce and lemon blueberry cheesecake.

Harvest Seasonal Grill and Wine Bar (Glen Mills)

Harvest Seasonal Grill has modern American fare rotating with the season, with plant-based on the menu.

HipCityVeg (Ardmore and Radnor)

You’ll find fast-casual burgers, fries, nuggets, and shakes.

Kings and Queens Liberian Cuisine (Upper Darby)

This Liberian restaurant has plantains, cassava fries, okra, and cassava leaf stew. You can also call the restaurant to find out about off-the-menu plant-based selections.

Here’s a video to help you find Vegan foods at non-Vegan restaurants.
