Pennsylvania might have some of the most congested roads in the country but not everything is bleak – the Keystone State also has some of the nation’s best drivers, writes Steve Trevelise for New Jersey 101.5.

According to a new study by the law firm of Friend, Levinson, and Turner, Pennsylvania came third on the list of the best drivers in America.

While doing the research the study considered DUI arrests per 100,000, accident fatalities per 100,000, the number of uninsured drivers, and the number of Google searches for phrases related to “How to get out of a ticket.”

In fact, the Keystone State achieved its high ranking – just behind first-place New York and second-place Massachusetts – thanks in part to its high percentage of insured drivers. That number currently stands at 83 percent.

Pennsylvania also has a low rate of DUI arrests with only 117, which puts it in fifth for the least DUI arrests in the country.
