Significant Jump in COVID-19 Cases Reported Last Week in Delaware County Based on 4-Week Summary

No COVID-19 county or municipal statistics, including the number of new cases and COVID-19 deaths, were available for the weekend, April 3 and 4, from the Chester County Health Department.

The health department has released a 4-week summary that shows a significant jump in COVID-19 cases for Delaware County this past week.

The health department also released its most recent 4-week summary regarding COVID-19 testing in Delaware County.

Pennsylvania data

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, April 4, that there were 13,932  additional cases of COVID-19 statewide between Thursday, April 1, the last date statistics were reported, and Sunday, April 4. Current statewide total COVID-19 cases are 1,042,682.

There were 75 additional COVID-19 deaths reported statewide between Thursday, April 1 and Sunday, April 4. Total deaths statewide are now 25,195.
