COVID-19 Case Monthly Summary Shows Drop in Cases for Delaware County

No weekend COVID-19 county or municipal statistics, including the number of new cases and COVID-19 deaths, were available from the Chester County Health Department or the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The health department has released a summary of the past month’s COVID-19 case activity in Delaware County.

The chart below also shows the number of PCR tests conducted in the past month and the number of positive cases discovered from those tests.

Pennsylvania data

The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of noon, March 7, that there were 4,447 additional cases of COVID-19 statewide between Friday, March 5, and Sunday, March 7. The total number of cases stands at 948,643.

There were 87 additional COVID-19 deaths reported statewide between Friday, March 5, and Sunday, March 7. Total deaths statewide are now 24,349.
