Man’s Best Friend will be in the stands in cutout form for the Philadelphia Union’s first home game of the season Tuesday, writes Jonathan Abraham for brotherlygame.com.

Cardboard cutouts of the adoptable canines will be the guest of The Philadelphia Union and Subaru of America, Inc. with the hope of finding these dogs a new home.

The cutouts will have their own section in midfield, the “Dogs of Ben.”

Tuesday’s game will be the first since Suburu America partnered with The Union and the first with the stadium’s new name, Chester Subaru Park.

“At Subaru, our love for pets runs as deeply as our love for soccer, and from the onset of our partnership with the Union, we knew we wanted to bring our furry friends out to Subaru Park and bring awareness to adopting shelter pets,” said Alan Bethke, Senior Vice President, Marketing, Subaru of America, Inc.

“While home games may look a bit different this year, we hope the Dogs of Ben add some fun to game day while helping to unite local dogs in the greater Philadelphia area with loving owners.”
