Delaware County has reached a sad milestone as of Monday, April 20 with 100 COVID-19 deaths now being reported in the county, up nine from Sunday, April 19, according to data from the Chester County Health Department.
Of those 100 deaths, 68 occurred in a nursing home or personal care facility in the county, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Health.

The county’s total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases has increased by 85 and is now at 2,545.
The virus is reported in 47 of the 49 municipalities, with no cases reported in Rutledge and Lower Chichester.
Yeadon Borough has the highest percentage of population being affected by the virus. It has 120 cases, affecting 1.05 percent of its 11,471 population.
Upper Darby has the most reported cases, at 262, affecting .32 percent of Upper Darby’s 82,993 population.
There are 876 reported cases under investigation, to which no community has been assigned.

Pennsylvania data
The Pennsylvania Department of Health confirmed as of midnight, April 20, that there are 948 additional positive cases of COVID-19, bringing the statewide total to 33,232. All 67 counties in Pennsylvania have cases of COVID-19.
The state reported 92 new deaths among positive cases, bringing the statewide total to 1,204.
Of those, 682 were in nursing homes and personal care facilities.
