Strath Haven High’s Allie Wilson was disappointed but understanding when the 2020 Olympic summer games were postponed a year because of COVID-19, writes Terry Toohey for the Daily Times.

She felt the same when the U.S. Olympic Track & Field Trials were rescheduled.

“I think they made the right call,” Wilson said. “The health of the country and the world is more important than trying to host it before everything has calmed down.

Wilson was hoping to earn a spot at U.S. Olympic Trials. The standard in the 800-meter run is 2:02.50. Wilson is close. Her best time was 2:02.56.
