Nine Delaware County towns made the list of the 50 hottest Philadelphia neighborhoods and nearby towns recently published by the Philadelphia Magazine.

To compile the list of the Philadelphia region’s priciest places and most expensive neighborhoods for the last year, Philadelphia Magazine used data from the HomExpert Market Report, released by the Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Fox & Roach Research Division.

The highest-ranked place in Delaware County is Villanova, which took second with an average home price of $1,014,147 for 2019. However, this actually represents an 11 percent decrease compared to the previous year.

Next is Radnor Township in seventh place with a $740,092 average home price for the last year, a one percent increase over the previous year.

Wayne, with its $649,410 average home price, and Rose Valley Borough with a $643,772 average, also made the top 20 at No. 18 and No. 20 respectively.

Next is Newtown Township at No. 22, followed by Thornbury Township at No. 31 and Edgmont Township at No. 38.

The list is rounded off by Upper Providence Township at No. 40 and Concord Township at No. 49.
