The event will take place at Ridley Creek State Park Pavilion #17, from 7:30 AM to Noon.

The hope of the fundraising event is to bring awareness to the issue of substance abuse, while providing resource options and support to families.

In addition to the 5k, there will be fun and informative activities, including:

  • A wellness festival with providers and resource information from various children’s, treatment, and health organizations.
  • Plenty of activities for children, with games, face painting and a kids’ dash.
  • Food, raffles, and all the makings for a fun fall day.
  • Scavenger hunt, obstacle course, reiki, and interactive prevention ideas to help kids and families make healthy choices one stride at a time.

Although the morning is filled with family fun, all proceeds will directly provide support to children and families struggling with the devastating mental health impacts of addiction.

Child Guidance Resource Centers’ mission is to inspire hope, to empower and to contribute to the well-being of children, families and adults throughout the five county Philadelphia region by delivering evidence-informed behavioral health services and community-wide wellness programs.

The 5k event gives Child Guidance Resource Centers the opportunity to share these resources in a casual fun environment to people in the community.

Everyone can be a superhero and change a life just by getting involved. To find out more, and to register online click here.
