It’s a Valley Jamboree and It’s Coming to Chadds Ford
The Chadds Ford Historical Society (CFHS) introduces a new family-friendly music festival this year – Valley Jamboree, writes the Daily Local News.
This two-day event is Saturday, May 18, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Sunday, May 19, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., rain or shine. The Jamboree will be held on the society’s fields behind the Barn Visitors Center, 1736 N. Creek Road, Chadds Ford. There is adjacent free parking.
Tickets are sold at the door; $15 for adults, $5 for children 7 to 17, free for children under 6 and under. CFHS members are free with membership card.
There will be food, wine, beer, and artisan booths.
Kid-centric activities include a giant 60-foot house bounce, a petting zoo, a make-your-own crafts tent, lawn games and scavenger hunts.
Explore the displays at the Barn Visitor Center, including a new Thrills, Hills and Spills exhibit on Lenape Park and Chadds Peak. The historic c. 1725 John Chads House and the c. 1720 Springhouse will be open for tours.
Saturday’s music festival lineup include “Green Eggs and Jam,” “WaveRadio,” and “Special Delivery”.
Sunday’s lineup includes “Sin Brothers,” “Steve Liberace”, and “Tommy Froelich Trio”.
