Harrah’s Casino in Chester Finishes Last Leg of Major Renovation by Unveiling New Poker Room
Harrah’s Philadelphia Casino and Racetrack in Chester has finished the last leg of a major renovation by opening its new poker room, writes Kenneth Hilario for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
To attract new blood, the gaming and entertainment facility has recently added three new projects and relocated its poker room to the casino floor. Among the new additions are The Book, a new sportsbook that opened in January, and Topgolf Swing Suite.
“The poker room was moved from racing level to casino floor to have all gaming action on one floor,” said General Manager Chris Albrecht. “It was part of the re-imagination of the back of the casino with the new sportsbook and Topgolf.”
The 27-table World Series of Poker Room is larger than the original and includes convenient text-to-table food ordering. It also has 16 55-inch TVs that together form a giant projection screen.
Harrah’s officials believe that the new amenities will bring more walk-through traffic onto the casino floor and increase play overall.
