Radnor Resident, School Counselor Publishes Humorous Book of Tips for Middle Schools Parents
Radnor resident Andy Mullen, a Tredyffrin/Easttown School District counselor, has published Middle Schooled: Parenting Tips and Reminders to Keep You Smiling, a humorous guide for parents of children in middle school, writes Max Bennett for Patch.
The book is a compilation of Mullen’s observations, insights, and advice for parents. It is based on e-mail messages he has exchanged with parents throughout his 16 years as a middle school and high school counselor that cover subjects like standing up to bullies, cell phones, and dating.
“My hope in sharing Middle Schooled is that parents pick up a few useful tips, learn about why their children might be acting a certain way, and how to best help them, and just as important, enjoy a laugh,” said Mullen.
The book has received rave reviews on Amazon, with reviewers calling it “laugh out loud funny.”
Mullen has an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Lafayette College and a master’s in Counseling and Human Relations from Villanova University.
