Thirteen public high schools in Delaware County are among the five-county region’s 100 highest-scoring public high schools on the SATs, writes Clara Lefton for The Philadelphia Business Journal.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education published the 2018 composite scores (the mean math score and the mean reading and writing score) on the SATs for public high schools statewide. The Philadelphia Business Journal then compiled a list of the 100 highest-scoring schools in the five-county region.

Here’s how the 13 public high schools in Delaware County that made the Top 100 fared by their composite scores on the SATs:

  • 4. Radnor 1285.6
  • 10. Strath Haven 1218.3
  • 12. Garnet Valley 1214.3
  • 24. Haverford 1169.7
  • 46. Springfield 1113
  • 49. Marple Newtown 1101
  • 56. Sun Valley 1065.1
  • 57. Ridley 1063.2
  • 60. Interboro 1053.3
  • 69. Upper Darby 1015.5
  • 80. Chichester 936.8
  • 83. Academy Park 922.3
  • 94. STEM Academy at Showalter 849.2

Editor’s Note: Penncrest High School, with a composite score of 1147, was mistakenly ommitted from The Philadelphia Business Journal’s compilation of the Top 100 highest-scoring public high schools on the SATs.
