Kevin Keenan, the Springfield School Board member who recently took over as Facilities Committee chairman, is a key cog in the development of a new Springfield High School, writes Susan Serbin for the Daily Times.

Images of America: Springfield Township documents Springfield’s transformation into a modern town rich with amenities and community organizations. Available in hardcover, paperback or Kindle formats.

Keenan has a lifelong familiarity with the school district, as he and his wife both graduated from Springfield High School. He cites his experience at the school as overwhelmingly positive, both from an athletic and academic perspective.

Keenan believes the project will be finished sometime in the summer or fall of 2020. Currently, the finishing work includes grading, underground pipe installation, electrical conduits, and building footings.

“I think people generally don’t understand all the thought that goes into every element of a project this big,” he said.
