Report: Delaware County Boasts Two of America’s Most Underrated Colleges
Based on reputation and the future earnings of their graduates, three local institutions of higher education are among the 50 most underrated colleges in America, write Myelle Lansat and Andy Kiersz for Business Insider.
The rankings were compiled using mutually exclusive sets of Best Universities and Best Liberal Arts Colleges data from U.S. News & World Report. It also used students’ median earnings data from the U.S. Department of Education’s College Scorecard.
Widener University placed 15th among the most underrated colleges in the country, as its graduates earn a median mid-career salary of $53,400.
Villanova University was 32nd, with its graduates earning a median mid-career salary of $77,900.
In Chester County, Immaculata University checked in at No. 50 among the most underrated colleges in the country, as its graduates earn a median mid-career salary of $50,600.
Drexel University placed 10th among the most underrated colleges in the country, while Lehigh University was 24th.
