Several months after petitioning the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board for approval to begin sports wagering, Harrah’s in Chester has now decided on a location for its sportsbook, writes Ed Barkowitz for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The casino is one of four in Pennsylvania that have decided to start offering sports wagering, and it will place its sportsbook at the very back of the casino floor. But it will still be some time before the area becomes operational, as the windows have not yet been installed.

In its application to the PGCB in September, the casino stated that “Harrah’s Philadelphia possesses the financial integrity, stability, and responsibility required to successfully implement and operate sports wagering.”

The application also said that the casino would be able to draw from the experiences of Ceasars Entertainment, its parent company, which already operates sports betting operations in Nevada, Mississippi, and New Jersey.

The casino, which also has a race track, has said it will add 10 permanent jobs with its new offering of sports betting.
