Delaware County is home to nine of the Top 50 school districts with the best teachers in the Philadelphia area, writes Clara Lefton for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
Niche.com has recently published 2019 Districts with the Best Teachers in the Philadelphia Area. It based its rankings on student and parent teacher ratings, teacher salaries, teacher absenteeism, teacher tenure, student-teacher ratio, and the Niche Academics Grade.
The Wallingford-Swarthmore School District checked in at No. 2, while Radnor Township and Rose Tree Media were also in the Top 5, at third and fourth, respectively.
Haverford Township placed eighth, while Garnet Valley was close behind at No. 10.
Springfield checked in at No. 15, followed by Marple Newtown at 20th and Interboro at 23rd.
Ridley rounded out Delaware County’s entries at No. 46.
