Penn State Brandywine has found its new athletic director in alumna Bobbi Caprice, a four-year student-athlete during her time on campus, writes Bill Tyson for Penn State News.

Caprice earned a master’s degree in school counseling from West Chester University three years ago and was then promoted to assistant athletic director at Brandywine. She served as assistant athletic director for three years prior to her promotion and took over her new role on Nov. 5.

During her four years on Brandywine’s basketball team, Caprice scored 1,140 points. She also participated in volleyball and cross-country. She graduated from Penn State five years ago with a degree in human development and family studies and joined the Brandywine athletic staff as a recruiting coordinator.

Penn State Brandywine Chancellor Kristin Woolever praised Caprice for the integral part she played in the success of the athletic program. She said that she’s also a great advocate for student-athletes and her enthusiasm and energy are contagious.

“I’m extremely excited and honored to be appointed athletic director at the campus that has meant so much to me personally for the last nine years,” said Caprice.
