Knowing What It Feels Like When ‘Government Is Not Working for You,’ Radnor Woman Runs for Congress

By

Pearl Kim

Pearl Kim is running for Congress in the newly created Fifth District with a desire to change the world for the better, writes Linda Stein for the Delaware County News Network.

Kim graduated from Villanova’s law school and joined the Delaware County District Attorney’s Office in 2007, eventually heading the Human Trafficking Unit in the Special Victims and Domestic Violence Division.

Last year, she was tapped by Pennsylvania Attorney General Josh Shapiro to lead his campus security initiative. But when she realized that most of the reform she wanted was federal, she decided to run for the Fifth District as a Republican.

“I wanted to make a greater impact,” she said. “I truly know what it feels like when you feel the government is not working for you.”
