Swarthmore College One of The Nation’s Top 20 Hardest Schools to Get Into

Swarthmore College is among the nation’s Top 20 hardest schools to get into, writes Emily Rolen for PhillyVoice.

The school checked in at No. 19 in a new report by Niche.com that ranked the hardest schools to get into this year. Niche used data from the U.S. Department of Education to rank the schools according to acceptance rates, along with SAT and ACT scores.

Swarthmore made it into the Top 20 due to its low acceptance rate (13 percent). The school also averages an SAT score range of between 1305 and 1530, while its ACT scores range between 30 and 34.

In addition to being one of the hardest schools to get into across the country, Swarthmore College also ranked fourth among the Best Colleges for Education in America, fifth among the Most Diverse Colleges in America, and seventh among the Best Liberal Arts Colleges in America.

The hardest schools to get into in the country are Harvard and Stanford with an acceptance rate of only five percent, followed by Yale with an acceptance rate of six percent.
