Philadelphia Union, P.J. Whelihan’s Ink Marketing Agreement

The Philadelphia Union and P.J. Whelihan’s have entered into a multiyear agreement that includes opening two P.J. Whelihan’s concession stands at Talen Energy Stadium in Chester, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

The partnership also includes player appearances at P.J. Whelihan’s locations in the Philadelphia area, plus a viewing party at a P.J. Whelihan’s location for an away soccer match. The viewing party date and location has not yet been announced.

“P.J. Whelihan’s is known as being the spot to watch games and many of our customers are big soccer fans, so a partnership with the Union is a natural fit,” said Jim Fris, chief operating officer of PJW Restaurant Group, which runs the restaurants.

Financial terms of the marketing deal were not disclosed.
