From CHESCO: Perhaps Retirement-Bound in Wake of Super Bowl, Eagles Tight End to Settle in West Chester
Philadelphia Eagles tight end Brent Celek is building a home in West Chester, writes Frank Fitzpatrick for the Philadelphia Inquirer.
Winning the Super Bowl was a lifelong dream for Celek, who set his mind on becoming a football star as a toddler.
According to his friends and teachers in his native Cincinnati, he did not date or party, but focused on his training.
“He just knew what he wanted and what he had to do to get there,” said Brian Heidorn, Celek’s high school coach.
Celek is now looking to the future. He has had ventures in the Philadelphia area, including a Center City restaurant. After he’s done with football, he plans to continue working in real estate in the area.
“He’s building a house right near West Chester,” said his father, Steve Celek.
