Predictably, Philadelphia Eagles fans have not gotten a warm welcome in freezing Minneapolis during Super Bowl week, writes Ben Shpigel for The New York Times.

The Eagles beat the Minnesota Vikings for the NFC Championship, crushing their dreams of winning a Super Bowl on their home turf. This was the closest any team had come to playing the Super Bowl in their own stadium, and Vikings fans are not happy about it.

“If it wasn’t for the entrepreneurial opportunity, of course I wouldn’t want to have the team that just beat us coming into our place,” said Tyler Olson, who manages short-term rentals. “But I recognize that it’s part of business. Others may not agree, but that’s my choice.”

Real estate agent Brad Christopherson hopes the passage of time may improve things, but he makes no promises.

“If they come in all cocky and still going off about stuff related to the game, I can’t say what’s going to happen,” he said earlier in the week.
