For Christmas, floral designer Nicol Segel created a formal winter wonderland in silver and white inside her Newtown Square home, writes Sally Downey for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Two years ago, Segel and her husband Alan downsized to a three-bedroom townhouse from a large home in Bryn Mawr. In their previous residence, Segel had three trees decorated with multicolored ornaments. However, her colors are now mostly silver and white.

This year, the living room was adorned with a green Christmas tree that twinkled with ropes of pearls, white and silver birds, and tiny white lights.

Segel also replaced the crystals from the chandelier in the dining room with green fronds, silvery vines, and white and crimson silk blossoms. And it sat above a table for 10 set with white china and linen. The backs of the white upholstered chairs were decorated with miniature Christmas wreaths that hung from scarlet ribbons.
