Commuters at SEPTA Regional Rail’s Morton Station, perhaps in need of a quick cup of coffee or bite to eat before or after hopping on a train, have a fast friend in The Original Coffee Bar & Roaster, writes Peg DeGrassa for the Delaware County News Network.

Facing the train platform just across a small parking lot is The Original Coffee Bar & Roaster’s convenient take-out window. Opened in September 2016, at 2 Yale Avenue in the borough’s business hub, the OCB offers baked goods, sandwiches, and all-natural smoothies, along with coffee and espresso.

The business is owned by Toni Maxey and her husband Jay, who live in the Holmes section of Ridley Township, in partnership with Paul and Deb Hackenburg of Aston. The OCB has a light-fare breakfast and brunch menu, as well as a large array of hot beverages.

In addition to the take-out window, the OCB has a spacious and comfortable lounge, where the atmosphere is conducive to enjoy company, meet with friends or colleagues, hold a meeting or book club, or flip open a laptop and get some work done. The OCB offers free Wi-Fi and has the capacity to seat up to 22 people for private events.
