Top STEM teachers can now be nominated for a chance to become a 2017 Axalta All-Pro Teacher and be recognized at an Eagles game.

Local STEM teachers who stand out have the chance to score money, Philadelphia Eagles tickets, and memorabilia for their schools through this year’s Axalta All-Pro Teachers program.

Nominations are now open for the third year of the partnership between the NFL franchise and Axalta Coating Systems, the North American headquarters of which is in Glen Mills, according to an announcement from The Auto Channel.

And the program will get special exposure on the hood of Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s NASCAR vehicle during the Pocono 400 on June 11.

“We receive hundreds of enthusiastic nominations from students, education professionals, and community members who have been positively impacted by STEM teachers throughout Greater Philadelphia,” said Eagles President Don Smolenski. “It is a privilege to partner with Axalta Coating Systems to honor these role models for their inspirational work in STEM education.”

Ten teachers working in grades 6-12 will be selected for the elite team based on their educational drive, innovation in the classroom, and community ownership. And all 10 will also vie for the Axalta All-Pro Teacher of the Year.
