Founded in 1960, Don Guanella Village in Springfield provides residential services for men over the age of 21 with intellectual disabilities with the belief that each individual has the right to strive to fulfill his potential in the physical, mental, emotional, social, psychological, and spiritual areas of his life.

Behavior Specialist

This position assists in the development and implementation of behavior support plans and associated tracking, assesses the need for enhanced levels of supervision, and schedules and attends psychiatric appointments for all assigned cases.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, two years of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.

Client Funds Manager

This position monitors and reports changes that may impact eligibility for services, completes annual recertification forms for individuals to ensure ICF/MR funding, and completes the representative payee application for all new admissions.

The ideal candidate will preferably possess an associate degree in accounting or a related field, a minimum of two years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, and proficiency in the use of Outlook, Excel, and Quicken.

Incident Management Coordinator

This position monitors, investigates, reviews, and analyzes all incidents to ensure that the company’s response is thorough in protecting the health, safety, rights, and dignity of the individuals receiving services.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, five years of experience in a professional or management capacity, a knowledge of regulatory requirements and the Incident Management Bulletin, and Certified Investigator certification.

Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional

This position participates in the intake and admissions process for new individuals, leads the development, implementation, and monitoring of each individual’s program plan, and supervises, monitors, and evaluates services.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in a human services field, two years of experience working with people with intellectual disabilities, and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Access.
