Located in Upland, Crozer-Chester Medical Center, a 300-bed tertiary-care teaching hospital, was established in 1963 through the merger of Chester Hospital (c. 1893) and Crozer Hospital (c. 1902).

Health Information Management

This position analyzes, abstracts, and converts information from ED, outpatient, and/or clinic health information into applicable codes to ensure accuracy, proper sequencing, and appropriate hospital reimbursement.

The ideal candidate will possess an associate degree or have competed AHIMA, one year of previous hospital coding experience, and knowledge of medical terminology, clinical medicine, and anatomy/physiology.

Patient Advocate

This position acts as an intermediary between the hospital and the patient to resolve disputes and foster clear communication, advises patients of their rights, and interprets the organization’s policies and procedures to patients, their families, and visitors.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree in health administration or education, a minimum of four years of experience of relevant experience, and one to two years of managerial experience with direct oversight of other employees.

Supervisor Environmental Services

This position assists with the general activities of the department, assists with hiring and discipline as necessary, schedules all employees to provide adequate coverage of department assignments, and trains employees on proper techniques for performing job tasks.

The ideal candidate will preferably possess an associate degree and two to three years of environmental services experience in a healthcare or senior living setting.

Certified Sterile Processing Tech

This position decontaminates, processes, and dispenses vital medical equipment and sterile supplies throughout the hospital.

The ideal candidate will possess a high school diploma and the appropriate certifications from the International Association of Healthcare Central Services Material Management or the National Institute of Healthcare Sterile Processing and Distribution Personnel.
