Popular indie bookstore Main Point Books marked its relocation from Bryn Mawr to a larger space in Wayne with a recent grand opening, writes Lynn Rosen for the Philadelphia Inquirer.

The store came about three and a half years ago when owner Cathy Fiebach noticed there were no bookstores for adults left on the Main Line.

“I didn’t come out of a publishing background,” she said. “I just needed a bookstore for myself.”

Fiebach decided to move the store when she was invited by her new building’s landlord to a larger space at 116 North Wayne Avenue. The Wayne location has more room for books, a bigger event space that will be able to fit up to 80 people, and a larger children’s section.

The grand opening featured an impressive array of famous authors, including Fran Wilde, author of Updraft, and Chuck Wendig, author of Star Wars: Aftermath.

Fiebach feels that the move will both bring in new customers and retain her old customers that she is hoping will visit her in Wayne.
