Their sign read, “Thanks for Voting. Musicians of NY City Local 802.”

Musicians from New York City drove down to Delaware County Thursday, Oct. 22, and parked themselves in front of the Media Courthouse to promote voting, reports Tyger Williams for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

The combined group included musicians from the New York Philharmonic, American Ballet Theater, Broadway and the New York Metropolitan Opera.

The pleasant sound of the musicians was hopefully a comfort to county voters and workers at the courthouse facing an election and a turnout like no one’s seen in recent history.
