Rosie McKenna and her two sisters received a surprise bedroom makeover the Phillies.

Rosie McKenna, a little girl in Havertown being treated for brain cancer, was surprised Thursday with a room makeover from the Philadelphia Phillies, writes John Paul for 6abc.

Rosie McKenna, 6, has had a rare form of brain cancer since she was 11 months old and has gone through 64 rounds of chemotherapy and four surgeries

She’s a big Phillies fan, along her two sisters, Daniella, 11, and Elizabeth, 7.  While the girls were in school, the Phillies showed up and did a complete makeover of the room shared by the three sisters.

“It’s one day. It’s a hectic day, but we love doing it,” said TJ Farrell, who is part of the Phillies Community Events. “We started rearranging all the furniture in the bedroom, making sure everything is ready.”

They walls and doors were painted in Phillies colors. The ceiling was decorated with baseball cards.

A large hat rack with new Phillies hats was added, along with banners and posters.

The girls were greeted by the Phanatic when they arrived home and escorted to their new room.

“I love it, daddy!” screamed Rosie when she saw the room.

The family was nominated for the makeover by the J Foundation, which helps kids with cancer.
