Philadelphia Magazine has named the Ridley Park restaurant Rosemary as the Best New Restaurant in the Suburbs on its Best of Philly Top 50 list for Food and Drink.

The magazine noted that Rosemary is one of the few restaurants that has been able to get city dwellers to travel to Delaware County for dinner.

Starr management alum Philip Breen opened this sophisticated spot.

The magazine gave a lot of credit to Barbuzzo/Fork/Stateside veteran George Sabatino for doing “amazing things with handmade pastas and vegetables,” a large part of the menu.

Rosemary brunches are a big hit, as is the baked oysters, and scallops in a celery root puree with black truffles.

Rosemary’s is located at 25 East Hinkley Ave. in Ridley Park.

Wild Yeast Bakehouse in Radnor received Philadelphia Magazine honors for Best Sourdough Bread.

“If you think you perfected the art of sourdough during the pandemic, think again,” writes the magazine reviewer.

The magazine wrote that Bakehouse owner John Goncher bakes the perfect loaf, with a sturdy crust and a airy, chewy and tangy interior.

Wild Yeast offers a bread share delivery subscription service and also appears regularly at the Media farmer’s market.
