“Greasy spoons” are kind of a trademark of the Philadelphia region and there’s no shortage of these popular destinations in Delaware County.

Two spots in Delaware County caught the attention of Gina Cosenza at WMGK who offered up a list of the best greasy spoons in the region.

Greasy spoons are those special places that have affordable, hearty, sometimes homestyle comfort food off an extensive menu.

They’re the places you visit after a night out and where you can often find an all-day breakfast.

In Delaware County, you could stop by Nifty Fifty’s for some classic diner food and a 50s doo-wop vibe.

Nifty Fifty’s is known for its shake and soda flavor varieties and you can find whatever food you’re craving off the grill.

You’ll find a Nifty Fifty’s in Folsom and Newtown Square.

Havertown Grille on Darby Road in Havertown has a classic menu serving breakfast and lunch all day.

You can check out some amazing burgers or Detroit-style pizza. For breakfast, there are amazing sandwiches like a Brioche bun filled with scrambled eggs, bacon, cheddar cheese, and avocado, or Nutella French stuffed toast topped with strawberries and bananas.
