Delaware County is still host to one billionaire, while several local billionaires live close by, according to a list by Forbes.

Victoria Mars in Newtown Square, heiress to the Mars candy fortune, ranks third locally in net worth, coming in at $9.6 billion, writes Katie Krzaczek for The Philadelphia Inquirer.

Nationally, Mars is ranked the 195th wealthiest billionaire.

She reportedly increased her wealth by 21 percent in 2022. Mars’ wealth would be even higher if she weren’t splitting her father’s inheritance four ways with her siblings.  Her father died in 2016, according to Victor Fiorillo for Philadelphia Magazine.

Mars ranked locally below Jeff Yass in Haverford, Montgomery County, founder of the Susquehanna Investment Group.

Yass placed first locally with a net worth of $28.5 billion. He was the 48th-ranked billionaire nationally.

Michael Rubin of Lower Merion, with a net worth of $11.4 billion, placed second locally and 151st nationally. He is the owner of Fanatics sports apparel.

Jeffrey Lurie, owner of the Philadelphia Eagles, also lives nearby at his Inwood Estate in Wynnewood. He has a net worth of $4.4 billion. He ranked 5th locally and 624th nationally.
